Retreat Update

Well, I realized I forgot that I had promised to give an update for those of you who were praying for our women's retreat. It was "AMAZING". Women were set free, touched, ministered to, healed and refreshed. I myself was blessed by God and left praising Him with my heart in the sky so light and set free.

Thank you to all who were praying for this blessed event. I know every year it just get's better and better. There were small battles here and there the enemy was trying to throw at us but God… Continue

Jesus the Christ Heals You

This past Sunday my husband taught in Acts. He shared this passage that stuck out to me and spoke to my heart.

Acts 9:33-35
33 There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed. 34 And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed." Then he arose immediately. 35 So all who dwelt at Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
NKJV

It was "Jesus the Christ heals you" that glowed like a neon sign flashing in my e… Continue

It's Just Me!

I thought I would start my blog with some personal thoughts. When I first wrote my introduction of myself I mentioned how weak and foolish I was but not stating clearly how victorious and empowered I am also in Christ. So I changed my profile to help clarify my thoughts lol... What I truly mean is that in our own strength, power and ability we can do nothing and that apart from Him we are nothing....we need Jesus! He is our righteousness, salvation and our identity. With that said, I love what t… Continue

Dear Servant of God,
nice to me to you and what you are doing
We want to thank you for the commitments that you have towards us, I want to sure you that God is faithful to what you are doing for his Kingdom.

I have come to be so much convinced or pushed by the Lord to bring to your attention the board of the Ministry of orphans and the school as well. But before that I will give a brief history of the school and challenges facing us during this hard economic time.

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL (RIVERJOY ACADEMY)

Our school started in the year 2oo7 August with small number of children, from ages two and half to four years and the number was 27 children both orphans and destitute. At that time we didn’t register our school due to financial problems.

We thank God at this time our school has been registered now, this happened on June this year; we thank God for the same and for your prayers. Our school registration No is 5526 within Nakuru Municipality.

The school started with the following Brethren who had a passion for the children and they had a desire and still they have that desire to help them to become the model of God.
These are:

1) Bro. Godfrey Chessa - School Chairman and ministry
2) Pastor John Makongo -Children Coordinator
3) Pastor Adriano Luyiakha - Asst. Children Coordinator
4) Sister Joyce Malova - School Treasurer and ministry
5) Sister Hannah Njeri -School Asst. Secretary and ministry
6) Sister Gladys Iminza - School Secretary and ministry

In this year alone the number of children raised from 27-50, that was March 2008 after the tribal clashes were over due to General - Post election (December 2007). We only had ability to take 50 children only due to financial problems but many came to us for help and we could not assist due to how we are and what we are passing through financially. But still we have a big figure of orphans who are seeking admission in the school, but we cannot admit them due to financial problems we are experiencing at the moment.

The ages of children we admit are from two and half years – Five years of age and these are the ones we provide food, clothes and health services needed. That is the number of age we help at the moment.

On our feeding program and entire ministry and school we don’t have donors or anybody who contributes food on monthly basis,We get support from well-wishers and the community who knows and understands what we are doing for God’s kingdom.

Our challenges we are facing at the moment are as follows.

Food, clothing, text-books, Excise-books, playing equipment, shelter, furniture, how to support volunteers (staff) who are working in the school tirelessly, and finally continuous of health services.

Workers: We have the following staffs:
1) Teachers – 3
2) Cook -1
3) Watchman -1

Therefore the above staffs are fulltime volunteers.

Feeding: Our children spend Ksh. 140,000 per month. Therefore one child spends Ksh100.00 in dollar ($USD2).

THE BRIEF HISTORY OF THEIR PARENTS

Most of their parents died because of H.I.V/AIDS others normal death and others are a life but widows, and those who are a life are unable to feed themselves and their children because of hash poverty and bad economy in Kenya, Because of the needs we saw, we were so much moved and decided to come this far.

On behalf of the school committee and orphans ministry, they requsested me to send you this information regarding what we are doing, so that you may help us to go further from where we are now.

The school – board and orphan ministry as well, are asking you to assist us to reach to other organizations, ministries, churches, and even individuals so that we may accomplish this noble task or mission. Please download the attached pictures of the orphans children at school compound
We are looking forward to hear from you in good time.

May God bless you and your ministry Amen.

Hey, I'm still working on the FLRT book series - but I have to get a couple of other things off my plate before I gather everyone/everything together. I haven't forgotten. I'm trying to move everything over so that I can get my grad school app finished! Once that's done I'll have a few months before I actually start school and the FLRT series can be ironed out. Feel free to get the books from this site or from candieprice.com. I got your article but haven't read it yet - will talk to you soon.
