ISAIAH 38:1-8
By Apostle Paul Johnson Asamoah.
Relationship with God simply means, having fellowship with God. In life, we have several relationships. Many of them can easily be broken. But there is a particular relationship that is very precious and should be taken seriously. That is our relationship with God (our father in heaven). Adam and Eve broke our relationship with God before and Jesus came to bring reconciliation. Therefore we have to value this relationship and treat it with care and love. Though it can never be broken, but we need to value it as more precious than anything in the world.
Every Christian is bound to go through certain unpleasant situations at a point in time. Jesus never told us we won’t encounter problems as Christians. He only assured us that, He (Jesus Christ) has overcome the world. So, it does not matter what trouble the enemy bring to us, what matters is our relationship with our Father (God). Many Christians are deceived that they would never have any problem after becoming Christians and so they give up too soon when encountered with troubles in their lives.
King Hezekiah went through trouble in his body. The scripture above tells us that Hezekiah fell sick and Isaiah was sent to tell him to prepare for his death. But because of the relationship this man had with God, he asked God to give him more years to live and God answered him by adding more years to his years.
Job also encountered a problem in his life though he had a personal relationship with God. He was inflicted with a disease in his body and many more troubles. But through it all Job maintained his relationship with God and declared that “I know my redeemer liveth.”
Abraham was also childless though he walked with God. He had a personal relationship with God but without a child. Scripture tells us Abraham continued to have a personal relationship with God until God gave him a child. Abraham had a child later on in his life though it was not naturally possible for both he and Sarah to have a child. Our unshakable personal relationship with God our father can give us a miracle even today.
When you read Jeremiah 28, Jeremiah also encountered a problem in his ministry. A false prophet rose up against him. But he won in the end because of his personal relationship with God.
Paul also encountered problems in his ministry after his conversion. But Paul says in Romans 8:35 that “what shall separate us from the love of God which ours in Christ Jesus.”
Mary, though a virgin conceived the child Jesus because of her relationship with God.
Daniel was thrown into the Lion’s Den but came out not hurt because of his relationship with God. Not forgetting Shadrack, Messarch and Abedenego who were also thrown into furnace, but they came out without being burnt because they refused to deny their God. God says if we draw close to Him, He would also draw close to us.
Let us say you are in a house with your father and mother, your relationship with them personally would lead them into doing certain things for you. If you don’t have a good relationship with them, you can not even ask them to do something for you in the first place. Even if you ask them, they may not do it for you.
That is why we all need to enter into a relationship with God our creator. A sinner cannot have a relationship with God. Infact he is far from God because scripture says “for all have sin and have fall short of the Glory of God” after the fall of Adam. We all need Jesus Christ in our lives so we can have this personal relationship with God. Adam broke that relationship and it is only in Jesus Christ we can be reconciled to God again.
Dr Yongi Cho says that “it is good to have a relationship with God than with men.”
Apostle Handly also says “the more you have relationship with God, the more He brings the right people to you.” Indicating that, it is a precious decision to take.
There were three (3) Arch Angels, but one of them lost his relationship with God (Lucifer) leaving only two (2) (Michael and Gabriel). God does not have any relationship with Lucifer any longer.
Let say if a President of one country like America do not have a good relationship with another President from another Country like Ghana, it would be difficult for them to visit each other.
So, if you are reading or listening to this message, I want you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour, so you can also have a relationship with God your creator. The good news is that God wants you to spent Eternity with Him. 2000 years ago God sends us His only son Jesus Christ to come and die so that we can have this relationship with God again (John 3:16). Many believe God is far away from them and has no desire to know them, actually, God is very interested in you and desire for you to have a personal relationship with Him (Psalm 139:17).
If you also have a relationship with God your father, I would encourage you to value it, because it is a privilege and an honour to be in a relationship with the creator of heaven and earth.
It does not matter what you go through in life. Once you have a personal relationship with God and maintain it, you would come out victoriously. I can assure you that!
God bless you! Thank you also for your support in diverse ways. God would surely replenish whatever you are given to support this ministry.

and your family. In our Lord Christine Mukherjee" -AU.
Pastor Paul, Will you please pray I will be healed from sinning, as I sinned today in masturbation, and I confess I have struggled with homosexuality for a while, and have looked at some gay pornographic sites and male underwear sites, including today, and after I sinned in masturbation, I know I was crying in my heart, and feeling the guilt, shame, regret, and everything else that choosing to sin rather than obeying Jesus leads to. I also am currently living with my unsaved mother and brother, and going through alot of persecution and criticism, and am learning what Jesus meant when He said the world will hate you. I strongly believe the Lord Jesus is returning extremely soon, and I know I must surrender to Him in these last of the last days. Please pray I will be set free by Jesus as soon as possible!! Thanks alot, and God bless you!!! Sincerely in Christ, John Sorensen-USA.
Dear Brother Apostle Paul~My Wife Angel and I Would be greatly honored to have You as an E.T.A. Friend. God Abundantly Bless Your {Christ Jesus'} Powerful Ministry.......Ken & Angel ORR."
Thanks Pastor Paul:
It is true. Those without God are alone even though the world may be standing with them.
Those with God are never alone, even though the world may be standing against them.
Merci beaucoup.

Yes Pastor Paul you are very correct - what happens the adverse situations reveal to us that we are not in control but God our Father in Heaven is in control Hallelujah! Also these adverse situations are the very valley times when we fall on our knees and come face to face with Abba Father and come into greater communion and fellowship with Him
I am in dire situation,
as I am worried that I have made so bad mistake ,
i request your prayer and word from heaven only,
i tell the Holy Spirit this morning i mean business with him,
i can not afford to make any more mistakes, or i may bring many people down with me,

The Righteous Man
James 5:13-18 . . . Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Are you a righteous man or woman? Do you know any righteous men or women? Let’s look at one and see how we compare. Since James used Elijah (Elias) as an example, let’s check him out.
1Kings 17 . . .
[1] And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
The prophet – a righteous man – will speak the truth to anyone, even an evil king. He will say and do whatever God tells him to. Elijah’s first step was to be a righteous man. His second step was to hear what God was saying. And, his third step was to do what God told him. Too often we try to take on the gifts and the offices without first taking on righteousness. In the long run that never works.
But, look at the power of the righteous man. Do you see the power of his words? Elijah calls forth the drought and proclaims it will not rain until he says so. That’s power!! The righteous man speaks power.
[2] And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying . . .
The righteous man will regularly hear from God. He doesn’t have to seek God’s attention or His Word. God’s Word comes to him. He hears from God!
[3-4] Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there . . .
God knew King Ahab would come after Elijah. The righteous man will be protected and provided for by God. He doesn’t need to worry or fret about those things.
[5] So he went and did according unto the word of the Lord: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
So he went and he did! The sign of a righteous man. Not just a talker but a doer.
[6] And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
Dirty old birds will feed you and you will drink from water with unknown purity. Could you do it? The righteous man can and does. Why? Because God told him to. God provides by whatever means He chooses. The righteous man doesn’t question the source. He takes the gift.
[7-8] And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying . . .
Notice God didn’t speak to the righteous man again until the brook dried up – not just before it dried up, but after it dried up. How long after the brook dried up did God speak to Elijah? It doesn’t say, but it may have been months. And, the righteous man continued to wait on God. When God sends you somewhere, or gives you that job you’ve been seeking for weeks, or a place to live or a church to go to, stay there until he tells you to leave. When God gives you something to do, stay with it until He tells you it’s done.
[9] Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
From dirty birds to a poor widow with no job, no money, no possibilities, no future but death. How can she sustain the righteous man?
[10-11] So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
But, the righteous man does what he is told. How can he ask this poor widow for food and drink? Because God said it would be so. He said she would sustain the righteous man. If Elijah had not asked her, she would never have received. How often have you refused a gift or offering from someone you know is in need? You just may have stolen their blessing! The righteous man does not see circumstances, but only what God says. God’s Word is reality to the righteous man.
The righteous man stops looking at the temporary and focuses on the eternal.
1Kings 17:24 . . . And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth.
Some time and 13 verses later the widow says this. Why does the widow now know that Elijah is a righteous man of God? Didn’t she already know that? Did she call him righteous because her son was returned to life? Maybe, but she was already seeing and receiving a miracle – a life saving miracle. Then why? Because the righteous man finally shows his compassion and love.
The righteous man . . . the gifted man . . . and love. Many do good works. Many can quote the Bible forwards and backwards. Many have an answer to every question. Many read all the great books on theology, apologetics, religious doctrines, and who knows what else. But do they have compassion and love, and does it show?
1Corinthians 12:31-13:3 . . . But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Many are called, but few are chosen. Why? Without compassion and love you do not get there. Without compassion and love you will not hear from God as the righteous man does.
